Please visit our website at www.sigmareach.org to see the many activities and projects that these fine young men have done throughout the years. In addition, this organization has a growing relationship with other charitable organizations such as the Bea Gaddy Foundation Movable Feast, Inc. and as our support needs increases, so will our fundraising efforts. It is the vision of this organization that will make it a viable force in the community.
Currently Sigma R.E.A.C.H., Inc. has begun implementing its fundraising plan to accomplish a series of objectives. Since 2008, focus of the organization was, and still is to support the Sigma Beta Club currently sponsored by the Nu Sigma Sigma Alumni Chapter. The Sigma Beta Club is a mentorship program established by Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. in 1950, which focuses on the growth and development of young males between the 6th and 12th grades. Currently, we have aligned ourselves with the Baltimore Metropolitan school system to develop our youth in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). With the use of a Memorandum of Understanding, as time progresses, the organization plans to target other mentorship/educational groups that focus on ideals similar to that of the Sigma Beta Club. The young men of this area represent our future and we intend to invest time, energy and resources into their successful matriculation to manhood. When these young gentlemen graduate from their post-secondary institutions with the intent to pursuing a higher education, this 501(c)(3) organization will financially assist them by providing scholarships to help offset the increasing cost of a higher education.
